ABOUT THE BARANGAY

Barangay San Miguel was formerly Sitio Biga of Barangay Tayuman. As it is far from the central community of Barangay Tayuman, the leaders of this sitio decided to seek the help of those in charge from local governing bodies to separate it from Barangay Tayuman. In 1959, their request was approved and finally become a full -fledged barangay. From Sitio Biga, they called this place as Barangay San Miguel after the name of the beloved patron San Miguel Arkanghel who was also the Patron saint of the Town of Lobo.

It has a total land area of 321,4613 hectares and is approximately five kilometers away from the town proper.

Farming, root crops harvesting, and trade are the main livelihoods of its residents.
