Out of all the peaks and ridges Lobo has to offer, Mt. Naguiling is popularly known as another perfect mountain climbing destination. It is considered as the highest peak in the Lobo-San Juan Mountain Range with a height of 1007 MASL and has been a candidate for Batangas Tallest mountain.
Mt. Naguiling is an impressive peak in Lobo’s corridor that sits between Mt. Daguldol and emerging mountain attractions of Bangkalan and Patong Peak. Once known to be a great mountain home of rich timbers and rainforest, Mt. Naguiling turn out to be more than just a mountain, but a series of contiguous peak, offering various possibilities.
This mountain is very doable as a dayhike. Regular hike up to Mt. Naguiling begins in Brgy. Jaybanga where you can experience typical agricultural heartland and lowland trails with slanted portions of slopes and fragile paths. At the summit, the views are scenic, feasting the coastline of southern part of Lobo, Verde Island Passage, and the northern coast of Mindoro, from which rises a majestic mountainscapes of neighboring island provinces on a clear day.
Descend hike is way exciting, as mountaineers can eventually be passed through Naguiling falls to make a refreshing dip after a memorable hike. Either a dayhike or side trip that is more amendable to public transport, Mt. Naguiling is a worthy hike in Lobo.
