ABOUT THE BARANGAY

Almost every place in Lobo has their own stories and origin, one of this is Barangay Malalim na Sanog. The barangay derived its name from a deep stream or spring water flowing from the mountain basin. This refreshing watershed has become the source of drinking water by its ancient inhabitants.

Located in the northern mountain ranges of Lobo, Brgy. Malalim na Sanog is a frequented place bounded in between by Barangay Calo and Brgy. Malapad na Parang. It has a total land area of 634,1013 hectares divided by three Sitios, these are Sitio Ilaya, Sitio Centro and Sitio Hulo. As it nestled quietly in this rich landscape, cultivating root crops and farming has been the main livelihood of its residents which is 12 kilometers away from the town proper.
