ABOUT THE BARANGAY

Located in the eastern mountain ranges of Lobo, Barangay Apar is the home of numerous large rocks known as “MALAPAR” as it is topography condemned by wide forest and rocky terrains.  These common rocky sediments were adopted and called Apar which later take part as one of the official barangays in the town of Lobo. It is surrounded by the neighboring barangays of Jaybanga in the North, Brgy. Biga to the West and Brgy. San Nicolas to the South – East portion. This barangay is also a place home of natural beauty as it is bounded by Lobo River to the north, Mt. Naguiling to the south, Laiya-San Juan to the east and Luksuhin River to the western border.

It consists of six sitios with promising agricultural growth such as Muna 1 & 2, Kalingag, Mabato, Mag-asawang Bato and Anos where farming is the common source of livelihood of its inhabitants.

Not only for its greener location, sitio Muna 1 & 2 of Brgy. Apar is also known as “the Little Baguio of Lobo” where you can experience the cold dew in the morning combined with an incredible Kalingag Falls that can be a potential tourism generator of the community.
